Action Academy is our virtual summer program for Gen Zs that focuses on the historiography of voting rights in America, and what systems expand and erode the democratic process. Participants engage in a combination of action-learning activities, simulations, discussions, team exercises, lectures, film, case studies, and training in civic fieldwork and GOTV efforts. The program is led by a collection of next-generation leaders, Action Academy graduates, Academic Scholars, and industry professionals.

The Institute for Common Power focuses on uncovering overlooked aspects of American history and inspiring civic action. Through workshops, lectures, tours, and national events, we empower people to protect and expand the right to vote—a cornerstone of justice and equity. Our work connects education to action, aiming to dismantle structural racism and build a more inclusive democracy.
